After the first lunar eclipse of the year, the next lunar eclipse will take place on November 8.

Today is the first lunar eclipse of 2022.

This will be a total lunar eclipse that can be seen around the world on Indian time.

In accordance with lunar eclipse predictions, the eclipse started at 8.58 am on May 16.

Since this eclipse will not be visible in India,

its Sutak period is not valid.  As per religious beliefs,

lunar eclipses are not considered auspicious. When the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon

its shadow falls on the Moon; then it is called a lunar eclipse.
